About Us

The Gunnison-Crested Butte Tourism Association was born in 2002 by popular vote of the people in Gunnison County. The ballot issue was to create a local marketing district for the purpose of marketing the destination as a whole, and funded by an increase in the Lodging tax from 1.9% to 4%. In July of 2004 the tax increase took place and since that date the Tourism Association has been working diligently.

Vision:

Attain economic stability and provide a desirable quality of life for residents with the support of community leadership, and ensure goals are achieved in order to outpace our competition and be a national model for others to emulate.

Mission:

To enhance economic vitality by marketing our county as a year-round destination and to foster relationships with hospitality partners to ensure a quality guest experience.
